NetBSD has introduced atto, a new lightweight text editor designed for beginners, which is now part of its base system. At only 48 kilobytes, atto offers a modeless screen-based interface similar to editors like nano and emacs, making it a practical choice for users transitioning from vi and xedit. This addition aims to enhance user experience and accessibility within the NetBSD environment.
