ParadeDB improved the performance of COUNT queries on Wikipedia by implementing ctid-aware segment partitioning, an inverted DocId map, and bitmap postings. This resulted in significantly faster query processing, achieving 10 to 22 times the throughput of TIN for filtered and time-sorted Hacker News queries.
